He’s Right Handed : The first art show I participated in was “Sexpo 97”, at the Creative Outlet , in Ottawa. The theme of the show was sex. Although i could have made metal versions of various bodyparts, it was the idea of a dirty self-obsessive robot that prevailed.

Multimedia : There is a story about how I got started sculpting. It involves a friend of mine giving me a computer monitor, and telling me that I “look like someone that could do something with this”. Multimedia eventually led to the commission for Edgar.

Objects :

roseiv.jpg

Roses : I, II, IV : A fascination with the “natural from the unnatural” has made these one of the more popular items.

devine.jpg Devine : The idea for this piece came from an old roomate who, when asked what i should make my Grandmother for her birthday replied : “a girl on a swing”. Adding an “e” to his name for the scupltures name seemed appropriate.

gecko.jpg Wearable Art : Spot, the gecko, and the Gauntlet, were created for an event called Black Tie to Bondage 3. Spot’s head was mounted on a spring, which caused it to bob with my steps. The Gauntlet’s fingers were fully articulate.
