it’s going to be blast. if you haven’t got tickets to the OIAF, then get on it…
The 2009 OIAF awards were on display yesterday evening at the Mètropolitain Brasserie.
Had a great time at the Awesome Indies Urban Art Fest. Thanks to everyone for coming out. hope you like your robots!
Donations towards the event will be accepted through various donation boxes around the events.
My Donate-a-tron wil be there. feed it money. it’s hungry.
There’s a few shots of last year’s Ottawa International Animation Festival (click here) up on their website… some pretty cool shots of some of the awards ceremony that i hadn’t seen yet.
There’s a chance that the awards may be on display on the opening night’s party of the Animation Festival… i’ll post details soon.
This Friday is the Awesome Indies Urban Arts Festival for Youth. We’re going to be building mini Rex’s, after we take apart some VCR’s for parts… should be fun.
i’m tired.
October is looking to be a pretty busy month. I’ve kinda booked myself solid. Here’s a bit of what’s coming up:
On October 2nd I will be teaching a workshop at the Patrick John Mills Gallery on Parkdale Ave, in Ottawa for the Awesome Indies Urban Arts Festival. The workshop will include the dismantling of a few of my favorite electronic devices, and discussions on construction techniques. I’d love to end up with a sculpture at the end of the night (we’re going to have to be quick). We might even light up the night sky with a little welding. Click on the banner for further info.
The Ottawa International Animation Festival happens from October 14 to the 18th. I have been commissioned to create the awards this year once again. I think i’m sticking with a similar shape to last years’. i was quite happy with the results. of course they can’t be exactly the same… perhaps these ones will even be… better. click on the poster to see their website.
After all that madness i seem to be designing flowers for a wedding… happens October 31st… Brides bouquet, Bridesmaid’s bouquet… i think the flowergirl is going to be holding one giant flower…. long extention cord trailing from it…. it’ll be adorable.
Got word tonight that there’s a possibility that January might be sheer madness…. tell ya later.
The following sculptures are finally at La Petite Mort Gallery, on Cumberland.
Toymaker
Backslide
Rose IV
The Ottawa Lumiere Festival was amazing fun. Thanks to everyone for coming out. I’m working on a piece right now specifically for La Petite Mort Gallery. i’ll post a pic soon.

It’s been a few weeks since The New Arts Festival. I finally had a chance to post a few pics… they’re on facebook… i’m not sure if everyone can see this. i’m going to try to change the layout of the site soon so that the pics are hosted here… until then, click the links below:
